Zeiss SmartLife Progressive varifocals are digitally designed around your prescription, your frame measurements, and how you actually use your vision. We offer the full range — from a wide reading space for everyday use, to wider for intermediate distances, to the widest corridor available for maximum comfort across all distances. The right varifocal matched precisely to how you live.

The best lens in the world fitted with a PD ruler is a compromise. At J.HYDE we don't compromise.
At our Birmingham City Centre studio, the Visufit 1000 uses a 3D camera array to capture your exact lens position — pupillary distance, vertex distance, pantoscopic tilt, and frame wrap angle — with millimetre-level precision. At our Mere Green studio, the Zeiss i.Terminal provides the same digital accuracy via iPad-based measurement.
For varifocal wearers, this precision is the single biggest factor in whether your lenses work from day one or take weeks to adapt to. Digital measurement eliminates the guesswork. That's why we invested in it.
For high prescription wearers, digital measurement is equally critical. The slightest inaccuracy in optical centre placement is amplified significantly in high powered lenses. Every millimetre matters. Our digital measurement ensures your high prescription lenses are positioned exactly where they need to be — not approximately.
