Every Signature frame begins as Rilsan PA11 — a bio-based polymer derived from the castor bean. It arrives as raw pellets. What happens next is entirely by hand.
Rilsan is lighter than acetate and warmer to the touch. It also holds colour in a way acetate can't, which is why our Italian craftspeople can paint depths of finish that no other frame material will take.
Each frame is individually handmade and hand-painted. No two are identical. No two ever will be.
Cut, shaped, sanded, painted, polished. Every Signature frame passes through the hands of a craftsperson at every stage, in a workshop in Italy that makes frames for very few people.
This is what you're paying for. Not a brand name on a temple — the hours.

There are eight Signature silhouettes. Eight shapes, each drawn to work on real faces with real prescriptions.
What changes is the colour, and how much of the decision is yours.
Ready to Wear, from £495. Our silhouette, our colour. Released seasonally in strictly limited numbers.
Custom, from £695. Your silhouette, our colour. Any of the eight shapes in any of our eight hand-painted colourways, made to order in six to eight weeks.
Bespoke, by commission. Your silhouette, your colour. Any shape, in a finish that doesn't exist yet — bring us a fabric, a paint chip, a car, the lining of a jacket you love, and we'll work out how it translates into hand-painted Rilsan. Made once. Price on application.
