A thorough assessment of your vision. Accurate, unhurried, and explained in plain terms. Built around how you actually use your eyes — not a standard chart. Most tests stop here. This is where ours starts.
THE EYE HEALTH CHECK
A full assessment of your eye health including glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts and diabetic eye disease. Including digital retinal imaging and eye pressure checks — the same detail a hospital would expect, in a private studio setting. Early detection matters.

Every prescription lens at J.HYDE is Zeiss. Not as an upgrade — as standard. Combined with Zeiss i.Terminal digital measurement here at Mere Green, your lenses are fitted with millimetre-level precision — not a ruler and a felt tip pen. Inaccuracy here doesn't just mean a slightly off fit — it's the difference between lenses that work and lenses you spend weeks adjusting to. Most opticians offer this as a paid extra, if at all. Here, it's what you get by default.
